We're officially down to double digits leading up to Christmas Day! At this point if you don't have your tree up or your lights up, I would just say, well - hurry up! Before you know Christmas will be here and it will be too late to decorate.

Unless you're English about 100 years ago. Then you're probably waiting for Christmas Eve to do your decorating, like in Downton Abbey. I actually kind of like that notion. It seems festive and fun without making your home feel too cluttered for too long.

I'm baking this week as well as planning Christian's 6th birthday! I can't even believe I typed that! Christian is going to be SIX. YEARS. OLD! It's such a big age and I am just not ready to fully embrace it. He's always just been my sweet birthday buddy and he is just getting so, so big! But, I also love this age...even though it comes with its own set of challenges. I guess that's parenthood for ya!

I'm trying to work on some last minute Christmas recipes over here as well as some new year "healthy" meals for you, too. I'll probably lay off the sweets for awhile once Christmas is over. Ya know...everyone is generally over the whole cookie thing after Christmas. Which I totally get - give me a few weeks and I'll be over it, too! Right now, though, I'm pretty much a Cookie Monster! Cookies and Cake are my thing!

  • Sweet Potato & Peanut Stew
  • This breakfast quesadilla recipe is one of our family's most requested "breakfasts for dinner"! It is incredibly simple and totally craveable!

  • Chicken & Ranch Skillet
  • Trainwreck Taco Salad
  • Garlic Three Cheese Pizza
  • Sweet & savory, with salty bacon, tart apples, & sharp cheesy goodness - Apple Bacon Mac and Cheese is the easy comfort food recipe you've been looking for!

  • Got that craving for a burger, but the weather outside is not conducive to grilling? Make this indoor classic cheeseburger and free yourself from the climate's control of your burger fix!

Actually, food in general is my thing, haha! I hope you'll enjoy the menu for this week. It has some of my favorite dinners on it, easy and simple ones that just taste darn good.

I hope you all get your Christmas shopping done soon if you're not done yet and find that perfect gift for your someone, your friend, your family member! Have a great week everyone!
