Tuesday's Tidings

Hers

  1. Josh and I watched Jurassic World over the weekend. Yes, I realize we’re probably the only ones at this point who haven’t seen it. We loved it! Full of action, full of all the good stuff from the first movie. It was a nice addition to the Jurassic set.
  2. Family outings in the colder months can be hard because it can be wet outside and we all get a bit of cabin fever. Keep your eye out on Groupon deals in the “Things to do” section. We bought a Groupon deal for our local bowling alley and used it on Sunday and we had a blast as a family. Even our youngest who is 2 1/2 got in on the action and managed to bowl 2 strikes!
  3. If you’ve got a daughter who’s in the 1st-2nd grade and is having a hard time finding books that are interesting to read, you might want to check out these two series. The first is the “Thea Stilton” Series and the other is The Princess in Black. Eden cannot get enough of these books and they are great for readers her age.

  1. Did you hear the one about the hearing aid dog that learned Gaelic in three weeks? Neither had I.
  2. I saw these posters over at Art of Manliness, and while I’m not a big poster person anymore (lots of Ferraris and Porches in my room as a teen), these are pretty well done. I like the overall tone and concept – manly, but not macho. Might have to pick one up for the garage or something…
  3.  Commander Kelly up in the International Space Station keeps taking these outrageously amazing photographs. Can you believe this one of lightning from above? Mind blowing!CQ03IfvU8AAidVz.jpg-large
