The beginning of November always marks the end of fall and the beginning of winter, even though I know the first day of winter isn't even for another 30+ days. In my head, we're in winter, people, and no comfort food is off limits.

Speaking of comfort food, comment below and tell me what your favorite comfort food is. Any kind of pasta or hearty meat dish? What about a soup? While I could eat tacos all day every day, I do love a good hearty bowl of pasta - which I think Josh really excels at making. I look forward to when he is in the kitchen on the weekends. He has a tendency to create a delight for the senses with amazing aromas that can be smelled from the upstairs, fifties jazz playing throughout the house, and beautiful ingredients spread out all over the kitchen. I should mention that unlike me, Josh is not a clean cook. I believe his goal is to use every bowl and pot we own! 😆

Here's what we're cooking up this week!

Sweet Slow Cooker Chai Ham

This super simple, yummy, and elegant recipe for Sweet Slow Cooker Chai Ham goes in the slow cooker the night before, leaving you to enjoy your holiday!

Chickpea Tostadas

These tasty chickpea tostadas aren't just easy to make and ready in 30 minutes, they're also vegetarian and pretty dang healthy!

Pasta Bolognese

This easy Italian gem is ready in about 30 min, makes amazing leftovers, and can be weeknight casual or fancy as you like - pasta bolognese!

This traditional Amish pumpkin pancakes recipe can also be sweet potato-based, but no matter how you make it, it's an autumn breakfast treat!

Drop Biscuits

Buttery and flaky, these easy drop biscuits are not only quick to make but compliment just about any meal, too.

Pumpkin Cheesecake

Nothing fancy about this simple, wonderful recipe for a basic pumpkin cheesecake! If you love pumpkin and cheesecake…you need to make this.

You might not be ready for all foods winter, but chances are the weather has begun to turn colder wherever you are. Maybe soup season is where you're going to thrive! Check out these recipes from my Soup board on Pinterest.

Have a great week, everyone!!
