Weekly Menu for the Week of Apr 24

Hello!!! I hope you all had a great weekend! We had our usual Friday night pizza with the kids and we watched The Phantom of the Opera at The Royal Albert Hall, via Eden’s request for our movie. Saturday, Josh got my car detailed for me (first time since we bought it two years ago!)…and then he and I tried out a “new” to us restaurant, Filbert’s Farmhouse Kitchen…and then on Sunday we had lunch with a wonderful family from church…and then the kids came home and worked on pine wood derby cars….a very packed weekend filled with good things!

If you’re an email subscriber then you saw a recipe go out for a Mandarin Orange Cake. That was an updated recipe from the archives, but if you’re not an email subscriber and you missed it, then you can still find the recipe here and check it out. It’s quite delightful and dare I say a very easy cake to throw together! Perfect for Mother’s Day or even a birthday/holiday…or even just because. I love desserts like that, don’t you?

Here’s what’s cooking this week here at Catz:

I recently had the privilege of bringing a meal to a family who just had a baby in our church (something I’ve been blessed to be on the receiving end of many times!), and it feels like a lot of people are having babies right now, moving into new homes, or are sick. I just thought if you knew someone in one of those spots I might encourage you to bring them a meal. It can be such an encouraging thing to share with someone.
